The Tuileries collection draws its inspiration from a rare document held in the French National Archives: the Gazette des Atours de la Reine. In what appears to be an ordinary notebook, Countess Geneviève d'Ossun—a French courtier who served as a lady-in-waiting to Marie-Antoinette—collected numerous fabric samples used to craft the sovereign's many royal gowns and outfits.
The fragrance was conceived as a tribute to the rose, the queen's favorite flower throughout her life.
