A passionately fragrant pilgrimage through the celestial city surrounded by ramparts. A journey to sacred sites, the Holy Sepulchre, the Wailing Wall, the Mount of Olives. The swirls of church incense blend with the dark and mysterious scents of the oud wood, cedarwood and nutmeg accord, and the brighter, greener notes of galbanum and cypress. Contains essences of Galbanum, Cypress Wood, Cedarwood, Nutmeg, Oud Wood Accord and Green Notes. Fragrance created with Françoise Caron.
It is on the island of Awaji, thanks to its favorable climate, that the finest incense in the world is found. According to a tradition spanning over a thousand years, passed down from father to son, it is handcrafted by the Koh-shis, or masters of aromas. They alone have perfectly mastered the four stages of production: measuring out exclusively natural ingredients, precious woods, herbs and plants, plant resins and fragrance. Kneading the paste, which is pressed and worked for a long time, then left to rest for two weeks to fully absorb the fragrance. Cutting the rolled paste into long, narrow strips of the desired size. Drying in the West Wind for three days, then bundling the sticks.
30-minute burn time each.
