Black tea with the scent of dry hay, slightly tobacco-like and smoky. With delightful notes, one can also detect patchouli, mate, and musks, tempered by the gentle freshness of verbena and aromatic lavender.
It is on Awaji Island, thanks to its favorable climate, that the finest incense in the world is found. According to a tradition spanning over a thousand years passed down from father to son, it is handcrafted by Koh-shis, or masters of aromas. They alone perfectly master the four stages of production: measuring out exclusively natural ingredients—precious woods, herbs and plants, plant resins, and fragrance. Kneading the paste, which is pressed and worked for a long time, then left to rest for two weeks to fully absorb the fragrance. Cutting the paste into long, narrow strips of the desired size. Drying in the West Wind for three days, then bundling the sticks.
Precautions for use:
Light the end of a stick with a match, blow out the flame, and let it burn. Place the stick in an incense holder or a bowl filled with sand. Do not place it on a surface or in a flammable environment. Do not leave burning unattended. Keep away from children and animals.
30-minute burn time each.
