Nara, a quiet little Japanese town, is home to numerous and admirable temples and shrines and a park famous for its free-roaming deer and doe. A delightful stop at the Nara Hotel, a century-old building with incredible charm. We lose ourselves with delight in the town's winding alleys. An exquisite scent of sandalwood floats in the air, with warm and comforting notes enriched by a touch of soft and sensual jasmine. Contains essences of Amyris Sandalwood, Sambac Jasmine, Ginger Root, Cashmeran and Amber Wood. Fragrance created with Christophe Raynaud.
It is on Awaji Island, thanks to its favorable climate, that the best incense in the world is found. According to a tradition of over a thousand years passed down from father to son, it is handcrafted by the Koh-shis or masters of aromas. They alone perfectly master the four stages of production: measuring out exclusively natural ingredients, precious woods, herbs and plants, plant resins, and fragrance. Kneading the paste, which is pressed and worked for a long time, then left to rest for two weeks to thoroughly absorb the fragrance. Cutting the paste into the desired size by rolling it into long and narrow ribbons. Drying in the West wind for three days, then bundling the sticks.
30-minute burn time each.
